PROBLEM STATEMENT

Technology has become an integral part of education, and universities are no exception.The COVID-19 pandemic has also demonstrated the importance of online education as a vital part of teaching and learning  Endpoint management is a critical aspect of cybersecurity in universities. It involves managing and securing all endpoints, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and servers, that connect to the university’s network.

The University evaluvated various  Endpoint management solutions  that provide many benefits, such as faster detection of security threats, improved response and mitigation times in the event of a breach, and fast and efficient deployment of the latest OS/software updates and security patches

The University zeroed down on th ManageEngine Endpoint Central which covered all the domains which the University was looking for in an EndPoint Management Solution.  ManageEngine Endpoint Central offered a unified platform which covered

SOLUTION

KICT Team worked closely with the University IT team and deployed the Manage Engine Unified EndPoint Central in a record time, with zero downtime and seemless change over. The solution capablity was regresly tested by the newly estabished IT facility of the univestiy which comprised of 2000 endpoints. Right from the Operating system Roll out to Patch updating of various deployed softwares , to configuring the preivilages and enabling Data Leak prevention was done trhough a single console.

BENEFIT

Roling out new environments and monitoring them has become a much easier task. Complete inventory of Hardware and all the software components in the environment is visible. Unauthorized softwares are detected the moment it is  deployed in the endponint and connected to the network.
